"Construction would begin following the 2025 season. The Jaguars would play in front of a reduced capacity (no upper deck) in 2026 and then host home games in Gainesville or Orlando the following year."

If approved, it looks like Florida-Georgia will be home and home or at another site for '26 and '27.

Jaguars games in Gainesville would be crazy to see, but I imagine Orlando would be a better fit.

My worry is with the Stadium being considerably smaller than it is now and the UF/UGA game to only hold 71.5K fans, it is going to cause the city of Jacksonville to pony up even more money to both UF and UGA to keep the game there in the future. With the new changes in the conference, teams wanting more home games, revenue, etc., I will not be surprised to see Kirby get his way and the game going to a home and home basis. I hope not, but that is what I see happening.

Good point. Dropping from 83K to 71.5K is pretty significant.

Or charge more per ticket to make up for the capacity reduction.
