On Finebaum show Graham Mertz sounded like he is ready to get the season started today.

He said the players are closer than they've ever been and all of them are excited.

It matters because selfish play dooms a football team, like Etienne running out of bounds vs. Missouri or AR going half ass, throwing a shoe, stuff like that...

But, you have to have good players that like each other if you want to win!

To be fair on the matter, after loses last year Coach Napier would comment how he could feel how much the players have come together and how they are sticking together, and the love he felt in the lockerroom, and then they would go out and lose another game, and he would say the same thing post-game next week.

I'm not sure loving each other is as effective as having talent and a sound game plan.
