One thing I want to continue to stress is that what you read in our Practice Observations Updates is that we are reporting on what we see in the moment - right then in there. I try to move around to each station every practice, though I didn't see the defensive backs today.

So, on to what I did see.

* The receiver room is deep, but don't overlook walk-on DeBraun Hampton ending up seeing some snaps. He doesn't have great size, but he has put on some weight/strength since last season. He is explosive and has speed. We'll see if they find a way to utilize it.

* Though they are only true sophomores, with Grayson Howard limited, it was Aaron Chiles and Myles Graham at the front of the drills, with Jaden Robinson right behind them. Coming in, Chiles looked like a grown man already, and he's only gotten bigger. Through two rotations at one drill station he was the one who earned the biggest 'atta boy' from inside linebackers coach Robert Bala.

* In our last update on Saturday, I pointed out that Treyaun Webb and Ja'Kobi Jackson were going one-two during drills and Jadan Baugh was going third. Today, it was Webb first, Baugh second and Jackson third. Baugh just continues to look the part, even in practice. In the cut drill (the coach signals to them at the last second which direction to cut), he just cuts and explodes. I don't know how they all stack up 40 wise, but he looks to be the most explosive.

* I pointed out Saturday, and through a couple of rotations that I saw today, even though he is out there, I have yet to see Clay Millen throw the ball.

* To this point, three practices in, I haven't spotted Caleb Banks out at practice yet. Others who are injured or recovering are at least out there in the black non-contact jerseys. I don't think I have overlooked him (that would be hard to do at his size), but I haven't seen him.

Additional observations:

* I had the chance to walk around the DB group as they were going through footwork drills and looked to include the eight freshman DB's currently on roster. The group included included Florida native, Ben Hanks (below).

* With DJ Lagway being limited, we had the opportunity to watch the rest of the QBs (Paul Kessler, Tramell Jones Jr., Louisville transfer Harrison Bailey, Aidan Warner, and Clay Millen). The QB who stood out the most to me was Tramell Jones Jr. Known as a dual-threat QB coming out of high school, the freshman has showcased his accuracy in his short ball as well as completing a few deep balls, including this one to WR Jackson Wade:

* The Gators just may have the most stacked receiving rooms they've had in years. From returning guys like WR Eugene Wilson III, Tank Hawkins and Aidan Mizell, teammates like TE Hayden Hansen and coaches across the board have nothing but high praises for the new guys.

* Had the opportunity to listen to defensive line coach Gerald Chatman and when asked about how the defense was able to find rhythm in its final seven-game stretch (Beginning with Kentucky through the Tulane bowl game, the Gators had not allowed over 20 pts. forced), he gave some interesting insight on what he believed was the key:
