That would be more like being in fantasy land and falling asleep and having a dream.

He would be the second best thing to ever happen to us behind Spurrier.

His daughter already said that he's not coming back.

If he did, I would be all for it.

Imagine you're coach Napier and you've worked your butt off for 4 years trying to build this program the right way and you're just sitting around with your family on a Sunday having fun and you decide to get on the internet and you see that what's supposed to be a fan wants to trade you in for someone who's already know out of the game and probably the game has passed them by.

We should be showing some appreciation for who we got and support him.

Imagine you're a Florida fan who has watched Napier turn in three years of mediocrity and not want to get one of the top five coaches of all time to replace him.

I know it isn't happening but you act like a fan wanting Saban over Napier is being out of touch. I think you are out of touch.

You're right, it's not happening.

However, I believe there are 134 DI football programs this season. Likely 130 of them would trade their current coach for 3-5 seasons of Nick Saban.

He is the greatest college football coach of all time.

The reality is he is better than at least 130 current DI coaches.

Maybe all of them, but some programs wouldn't make the trade because they are already ultra successful, why rock the boat.

It's certainly isn't a lack of 'fandom' for a UF fan to want to make that trade. Saban has proven to be heads and shoulders better than Napier.

We'll see if Napier can take a step towards changing that perception this season.

he’s been paid 7 million per year to underachieve. He hasn’t shown anything to make us think saban for a few years wouldn’t be infinitely better.

Instantly better. Even Cignatti at Indiana. Indiana was much more a dumpster fire than we were when Napier got here and look what Cignatti accomplished in year 1. If Napier does not go AT LEAST 9-3 in the regular season then he must go.

I agree. I’m almost more 10-2 record. He has lagway, great backs, receivers and a senior o line. If he can’t do it now, he never will.

I don't think it's a fair comparison with Cignatti. If Indiana had our schedule last year they would have had losing record and no one would be talking about them. Indiana is sort of a joke in my opinion.

If Napier took over Indiana 4 years ago as he did the gators. Would he have won double digit games there? To make an immediate comparison…if Napier took over last year would he have gone 11-2? The answer is no. Cignetti is head and shoulders above anything Napier has ever done. Nothing wrong with admitting that.

Maybe, but it's far from obvious at this point. We need to see a lot more from Cignetti than one season in the Big Ten.

A more fair comparison is Brian Kelly and I will admit LSU trumped us with that one. It's not Napier's fault but they beat us with that hire. Napier might eventually be the equal of Kelly but the odds are certainly against it.

Appreciation for a losing SEC record? Napier has zero excuses to not make the playoffs this year. The man has been given everything he needs to win and he had better.

Folks line up to make excuses for Billy. If we don’t make the playoffs this year the absolute best case..we have a mark richt. But once lagway leaves…we
Might have a Mike Shula.
