What hurts is a team probably tampered with him to offer him more money to get him to go into the portal

Now it's so late that there's probably no good defensive linemen for us to get because I don't think our coaches would tamper with any players.

I think we're above that.

That's what we get for being ethical.

Every program tampers to some extent.

Are you honestly under the impression that after Dallas Wilson signed with Oregon that Florida cut off all contact with him?

He just happened to ask out of his Ducks' agreement without already having a deal with Florida in place?

The timing of this hints at he didn't have a great spring performance and maybe he's not where he expected to be on the depth chart.

Of course we don't know but maybe this was a mutual parting. Let's see where he ends up.

That's probably true, but the question is who is initiating the contact?
You are correct that Wilson had an agreement with UF, since UF was recruiting him.
I am sure contract terms were discussed during this process.
Once he was at Oregon, did his agent open the communication with UF, or did UF reach out to the agent?
We need to remember there are intermediaries who may or may not be licensed in any way, nor are they registered with the NCAA in any way, as to my understanding.
Completely different compared to other pro sports.
