If he is being paid 2 million per year as we were lead to believe when he got there, this is silly. Paid to not play year 1, play at times great but at times poorly last year…BUT, the player having the power is a bit of a funny dynamic after they have had to deal with the ncaa and their nonsense for so many years.

I've written (and said) this before ... the only way out is to call the football players employees, have them unionize and proceed with collective bargaining. In the NFL, if this happened, the player would risk losing his pay. In CFB, they don't have that risk, since they could enter the transfer portal. About a year ago, I thought it was in the players' best interest to unionize, Now, I'm not so sure. They seem to have the leverage. They could, however gain in revenue being shared, since it's only 20% divided between all sports, whereas in the NFL, I thought it was around 48%. So in that sense, their pay would more than double.

Here is how much I hate UT; I hope he holds out, and then gets his money. Why? Because he is overrated and exactly what the Inbreds deserve.
Yes, I understand. But the problem is there is nothing preventing this from happening again at other places - even Florida. He's holding out now, but imagine someone doing it in-season? I don't have insider information in this situation, but I can imagine there are outside sources influencing decisions - just like in the Rashada situation. The point here is that there is no control on these outside influences, as in the NFL.
