Inside the Gators asked Florida commitments and targets for their thoughts on the Gators’ 45-28 win over Mississippi State. Find out what 11 targets, including four-star commit Jalen Wiggins, and targets Kaiden Hall and Devonte Anderson, as well as others, thought of the game.
- 2026 four-star receiver Somourian Wingo Jr.
I think they played a great game. Room for improvement everywhere obviously, but a great way to bounce back.
- 2026 unranked receiver Devonte Anderson (Florida offer)
I like how they dominated on both sides of the ball. I could see that they really had to step up and get back from Texas A&M game and they showed out!
- 2026 four-star defensive line commit Jalen Wiggins
I think they played a great game offensively driving the ball down the field passing and rushing with both [Graham] Mertz and [DJ] Lagway. Defensively just needed more push to stop the run game which could have stretched the score even further.
- 2026 four-star safety Kaiden Hall
It was a big road win in the SEC, which is not easy to do. The offense played really well and the defense stood up when they needed to. It feels like they are getting some momentum.
- 2026 three-star offensive lineman JJ Sparks
I thought they bounced back good this week. I’m an IOL so I focused on the guards and [Jake] Slaughter and thought they played well. They put up 500yds of offense on the road and was pretty balanced pass/run.
- 2026 three-star offensive lineman Parker Pritchett
It was great seeing Florida go out and get the team win. I think the offensive line did a great job at giving the quarterback time to make good decisions. I can’t wait to get back down to Florida for a visit!
- 2028 offensive lineman Asher Ghioto (Florida offer)
I wasn’t able to watch much of it because it was my Homecoming, but from what I watched and read about they didn’t do to great on defense, but Jack Pyburn and Sharif [Denson] did pretty good and overall I think there are some things to work on but I can see the team starting to come together. Florida is still a top team in my list though and I’m excited to see what they have in store for the rest of the year.

I thought it was a good game. I thought Rocco Underwood did really good and had a big hit on a punt. I think it’s really cool seeing people notice the position for something positive cause it’s not very common to see stuff about long snappers unless it’s bad. I’m visiting for the Kentucky game.
- 2025 unranked offensive lineman Simona Fuailetolo
I didn’t see much of the game but from what I did see they were dominant and aggressive up front.
- 2025 unranked defensive lineman Timothy Griffin (Florida offer)
I think that win is what they needed to give them that confidence to get them out of that slump. I’m excited to see what the Gators do moving forward, I like the how the defensive line made plays for others around them and that’s what it all about making sure your whole defense eats. My Florida official visit is on Oct 19th.

I loved the tight end play. They scored touchdowns and that’s what I love to see in the offense.
