On Friday afternoon over a dozen Bradenton (Fla.) IMG Academy prospects visited Florida. Included in the group was 6-foot-5, 290-pound offensive lineman Breck Kolojay, who was offered by the Gators during the trip.
QUICK Q&A
What was the highlight of your visit today?
“Definitely touring the facilities for the first time, and getting an offer from Coach [Billy] Napier.”
Which coaches did you speak with the most, and what did they have to say to you?
“I spoke to Coach [Darnell] Stapleton and Coach [Billy] Napier a lot. Since Coach [Rob] Sale wasn’t there, Coach Stapleton talked to me about his coaching style, what a practice looks like, what he looks for an offensive line play and showed us some examples.”
Is there anything new you learned about the Gators today that you didn’t know before? If so, what?
“Definitely, I learned a little bit about their new facility. I learned how it functioned, which was pretty fascinating to me.”
What is the most impressive thing you saw either on a tour of the campus or during one of the presentations? What really stood out?
“It was awesome seeing the stadium without fans in it. It looked absolutely massive. I’m impressed every time I see it.”
How do you feel about Florida after visiting today?
“Man, I feel a lot of emotions. Florida is an awesome program that I really like. What they’re doing with the program seems awesome.”
It’s still early for you, but do you have any leaders or a leaderboard?
“Not really. I still want to explore all my options and rack up more offers.”
Did you get a chance to speak with any of the players, if so, who and what did they say to you?
“I spoke to Knijeah Harris, who was at IMG last year. I didn’t get a chance to play with him, but I know him and he knows me and we just talked about practice and stuff and what life is like as a Florida Gator.”
What other visits do you have coming up in the next month or so?
“I’ll be at the University of Miami tomorrow [Saturday], and I might come back to Florida for their junior day on February 3rd with my offensive line coach.”
