Though he only just completed his sophomore season of high school football, Minneola (Fla.) Lake Minneola offensive lineman Chancellor Barclay is already building an impressive early offer list, including one from Florida.

On Saturday the 6-foot-4, 280-pounder attended the Gators’ Jr. Day.

What was the highlight of your visit today?
“The highlight of my visit was definitely putting on the orange and blue and taking pictures. An how they develop their student athletes, not just as players but as men.”

Which coaches did you speak with the most, and what did they have to say to you?
“The coach that really spoke with me the most was Coach [Darnell] Stapleton, and he talked with me about how everything is going at home, what they have going on at Florida as an offensive lineman, and just having conversations with me so we can build a relationship.”

During last week’s junior day, one of the popular features was the player panel. What did the players really have to say about this program?
“The players in the panel really talked about expectations going into college, and how everything works when you get into college football.”

Is there anything new you learned about the Gators today that you didn’t know before? If so, what?
“I understood that they work on the development of their players, but I learned how much time and effort actually goes into it, and how the schedules work.”

What is the most impressive thing you saw either on the tour of the campus or during one of the presentations? What stood out the most?
“The most impressive thing I saw was definitely the technology and how they use the data from it to develop the player by what he needs.”

How do you feel about Florida after visiting today?
“After this Florida visit, I’m very impressed with how everything is run and how they treat their players.”

Are any other visits coming up?
“I’m visiting UCF next week on Friday and Miami that following Saturday.”

It’s still early for you, but do you have any leaders or a leaderboard?
“For my recruitment, Florida is definitely high on my leaderboard, especially after today.”
