QUICK Q&A
Did you have a favorite college team (or player) growing up? If so, who and why?
“No, I had no favorite team growing up. College football was not popular in Nigeria when I was growing up. I played soccer growing up and moved to the States my sophomore year for basketball.”
How did the Florida offer come about? Who did you speak with and what did they have to say to you?
“I have been on their radar for quite some time now. They came to watch me practice on Wednesday and offered.”
You visited Florida back in April, what all took place on that visit? What was the highlight of that visit?
“I was there for spring practice. The highlight of the visit was talking to Coach [Billy] Napier. My conversation with Coach Napier was basically about the future and how he loves guys like me.”
What did you think of the new football facility?
“I haven’t gotten an in-depth look at the facility yet.”
What are some of the college campus visits that you have been on that were your favorites?
‘Georgia, Florida State, and Georgia Tech. They are all amazing schools with different cultures.”
Do you have any plans to make it back to Florida?
“Yes, hopefully for an official visit the first week of June.”
What are your thoughts on the Gators after receiving this offer?
“I’m excited. Anyone would be blessed to go there. Florida will definitely be there until the very end. I love the relationship I’m building with the coaches. And again, it’s the Gators, it should be everyone’s top school.”
When it comes time to make your decision, what are the most important factors for you?
“My personal development will play a big part, and I also want to go to a place where I will have fun and compete. Relationships matter.”
Edwin isn’t currently ranked by any of the four recruiting services.
