Even before he set foot on campus, Bradenton (Fla.) IMG Academy four-star athlete Jerrae Hawkins Jr. included Florida in his top six.
After the visit, the Gators only strengthened their position with the 5-foot-9, 170-pound speedster.

Who came on the visit with you? “I came with Coach P [Pond] and [five-star teammate] Jerrick Gibson.”
What coaches did you speak with? “I talked with Coach [David] Doeker, Head Coach [Billy Napier], and Billy Gonzales. We talked about how they going to use me and I would fit in the offense.”
What was the highlight of the visit? “The highlight of the day was probably the photo shoot and talking with the Head Coach. He was just saying how I remind him a little of Jaylen Waddle and how I fit in the offense.”
What are your thoughts on the new football facility? What stood out? “The facility was nice. The best thing was the apartment complex where the players live.”
What is your impression of Florida after the visit? “That it’s a good program, really the culture at the school. I can see myself playing there.”
Do you know of any programs that will get an official visit from you? “I will set up my official visits for June. As of right now, I have two schools – Florida and Penn State.”
You came out with a leaderboard, but are there one or two programs from that list that you know will be there until the end? “I would say Penn State and Florida. And also, maybe, West Virginia.”
When it comes time to make your decision, what will be important to you? Where I feel like it’s home, and where I can get the chance to play early.”
