Entering his Thursday visit to Florida, Warner Robins (Ga.) 6-foot-5, 220-pound defensive end Isaiah Gibson held Power 5 offers from Indiana, Oregon, and South Carolina. After spending the day in Gainesville, the Gators added their name to that list.

Who came on the visit with you? “I came on my visit with my mom.”
What was the visit like as far as what all took place? “First we visited the new football facility, and then we did a campus tour. After the campus tour we headed to the scrimmage and after watching the scrimmage I did a photo shoot.”
How did the offer come about? “A little after the scrimmage me and my mom were in Coach [Billy] Napier’s office and that’s when he gave me the scholarship offer.”
What coaches did you speak with and what was your impression of them? “I talked to all the defensive coaches a lot, but I was mostly with Coach Matt [Yustin] and Coach Joe [Hamilton] for the tour part. The message that they gave was that they want me to be a part of the family.”
What was the highlight of the visit? “The highlight of the day was most definitely meeting the staff and players.”
What did you think of the practice? “I thought the practice was very competitive and very fast-paced.”
What are your thoughts on the new football facility? What stood out? “I thought that the facility was amazing. I would say the best thing about the facility would be the weight room and also the practice field, it was dope.”
Where does Florida stand after the visit? “I feel that there is real love and that they want me to be there.”
Do you know when you’ll get back to Florida? “I plan on coming back for the spring game.”
It’s still incredibly early, but do you know of any programs that will be there until the very end? “I feel the schools that I know, so far, that will be here to the end are Oregon, Florida, South Carolina, and North Carolina because of the love that they have shown.”
