Because of the 20.5 million cap to be spread out among all sports per school, NIL has become even MORE important. Until, when and if something can be done, there will be no semblance of parity in College Sports as there is in the NFL. The NFL model is the only model that works in Professional Sports, I just do not know whether it can be done legally in the NCAA.
