If only Desmond Watson had ever cared enough about football to make a serious effort to get in shape the Lyons injury wouldn’t hurt so bad. And don’t come whining here, if Watson gave even the tiniest of craps about his football he wouldn’t still bo over 400 pounds after three years with trainers trying to help him. He just doesn’t want to make the effort.

I am not sure I follow the reasoning here.
I am also not privy (maybe you are?) to the details of Watson's medical condition.
True, there are things he can control but there are also things he cannot.
A person's skeletal structure is something he/she cannot control.
I don't know how much Watson's genetics has to do with his weight, but there may be a limit in how much weight he can lose and function as desired.
I am sure everyone has bad habits that are difficult to control, so maybe this criticism is a little too harsh.

He mentioned a lot of names in relation to adjusting to the loss of Lyons but I didn't hear him mention Watson...

Not buying it.
