Florida preparing for a two-quarterback system this weekend

October 23, 2018

Following the 2017 season, Georgia was set to be Jake Fromm’s team. He had taken over after Jacob Eason was injured and kept the ship upright, guiding Kirby Smart’s squad to the National Championship game.

Not so fast, someone came along to resist him; pushed him till Smart had a two-passer system.

The freshman Justin Fields came in as a five-star from Kennesaw, Georgia and 247’s No. 1 dual threat signal-caller in the nation. This is still Fromm’s team and he has received a bulk of the snaps at the position, but Fields has pushed for enough playing time that Florida Gators defensive coordinator Todd Grantham has his guys preparing for both Fromm and Fields.
