The biggest question on the mind of those who follow recruiting religiously is what will Florida's final class look like?

How will it all shake out?

The truth is, no one knows for sure.

Not Dan Mullen, not his staff, not you and to be clear, neither do I. There are too many variables in play.

Not a bad class. If I get a chance I'll throw it in the calculator. WR, S, and OL are pretty weak.

Agreed there is so much that can happen especially with the Ohio State fiasco

There is still some potential on the offensive line and wide receiver. If Cross goes Florida State, that would be a hit. I am surprised he hasn't announced yet. Does Gant going to FSU change his feelings at all?

I totally agree about how weak our recruiting class would be at OL, S, and WR if the class turned out this way. OL is a big need of ours. Need better quality guys along with just more bodies period. Then I hope we try to improve our defensive line recruiting board as well. Then it is interesting to me that most recruiting analysts out there do not really consider that prospects may flip. Especially, if they commit really early in the process. I have really only paid attention to recruiting scene the last two years, but I just notice a good amount of recruits end up flipping before it's all sudden done.

This is not a good class.

As I posted before, our biggest needs are OL, LB and S and appears we are wiffing on all 3.

OL being the biggest as I suspet Wilson is going to flip to Miami. With 4 out 5 OL leaving (minimal) it is very surprising that the staff missed so badly at this position.

LB has 1 quality target, but we need many as out depth is weak. We needed at least 2 quality blue chips.

S is a complete miss, and it will likely be our weakest unit on the field this season.

Ain't over yet, is it?

Nope, but if this were a wrestling match, Hulk Hogan would be doing that head shaking thing and pumping himself (and the crowd) up...it's the beginning of the end for this class I'm afraid. We simply missed on most of our first offer targets and have to much ground to make up on the others. If we won a contest here or there, I'd think otherwise, but we lost every major battle to date...

We may be able to have a good season and scrap a few blue chips together to sneak into the Top 15, but regardless of the ranking we will have a weak OL, LB, and S class and that is not what we needed...

We'll see how it plays out. August 1st has come and gone so...

As I wrote above, I believe it helps with Higgins.

I hear ya. I agree, it is not where I would like it to be. I just think Mullen will end up pulling it out at the end. Of course, it would be a lot nicer if we just dominated on the trail all year long...

I get that, I meant their current commits. Maybe Battle?

That class would be OK but we absolutely should expect better moving forward.

To be sure, that is my projection if they had to sign TODAY. In the end, iIt may end up better, it may end up worse, but this is how I see it if they decided TODAY.

The Black projection panned out. Now, about the other four new additions...

If OSU fires Meyer, it will have ripple effects throughout a lot of teams' boards. It could really shake up the recruiting landscape.
