During its first four games of the season, Florida beat two outmanned in-state programs, played the No. 1 team in the nation down to the wire, and then had a second-half explosion that lead to a blowout against a floundering SEC East rival.

What does all of that tell us?

With one-third of the regular season in the books, Inside the Gators takes a look at the team's current trends.

I can see saying Mullen has redeemed himself this year but he's not in the top 5 college coaches. Maybe in the 9-12 range is more where he is.

The receivers aren't having a good year but I didn't know Wells had the most catches.

Copeland is going to cost himself millions if he doesn't start picking it up.

Mullen hasn't shown that killer instinct yet to me....the one where you put your boot on the opponents neck. But we have an offense that is putting victims away slowly and painfully. Against UK and LSU ??? Maybe. UGA is a handful and our offense is dink and dunk with short passing attack....we will need to send bombs away to beat UGA or they will crowd the line with 7 or 8 guys daring us to throw long with a fierce pass rush.

The defense is improved and the secondary woes are mainly due to youth, Next year Jason Marshall and many others will have a lot of snaps under their belts and will be a strength for the team.

Receivers are open...EJ isn't going through progression and holding it too long.

Defense is exactly what a Grantham defense is and has been. We actually have a pretty solid DL (thanks to the portal moves) and our LBs are playing much better than expected (even without Miller) but the biggest problem with our defense is the one running it.

Recruiting should have been a arrow pointing down.

We haven't gotten any new commitments in how long? Who was the last 4 star?
