Coming off a month-long recruiting dead period, Florida held back-to-back recruiting events on Friday and Saturday before another recruiting dead period went in place Sunday. Inside the Gators empties out six pages worth of notes, quotes, and observations from multiple targets in attendance for Saturday's cookout.

Nice job again on this inside report.

There hasn't been alot of good recruiting news but we seem to have some optimism with some really good players. And, I think our roster as it stands is really, really good. If we get good QB play, and why not, we should be fun to watch again this year.

No other site has these features. Are press invited to these events?

Without giving away any trade secrets, how do you manage to have such good access?

Great info mark! Not gonna lie, had to google Johnny gaffney.
My worries are increasing on our OL recruiting but I guess for 2022 it is what it is.

Thank you for the kind words.

Recruiting reporters from a couple of UF sites go to these events as well.

My thing is, and it isn't to criticize how others do their job, the reporters mostly hang out together, and I probably look standoffish (or like an *******), but I try not to do that. Not just at recruiting events, but at camps, football practice, sidelines at games, etc... I walk around, I don't want to see and hear what everyone else does. Even at things such as when kids are leaving from their official visits, I always try to get them to myself, I don't want the same quotes everyone else has. That isn't always possible though. The quotes in this notebook from Cottrell, Lyons, and James came while they were talking to multiple reporters.
