Back in February Houston (Tx.) Clear Lake four-star cornerback Julian Humphrey‍ tweeted out a top 12 consisting of Arizona State, Arkansas, Baylor, Cincinnati, Colorado, Georgia Tech, LSU, Penn State, Southern Cal, Tennessee, Texas A&M, and Washington

At the time, those looked to be his finalists.

However, last month Florida entered the fray by extending an offer of their own.

Judging by his reaction to the offer, it appeared that Florida at least got their foot in the door and could make a move up his list with a visit.

However - a word often used in recruiting - it didn’t take a trip to campus for Florida to make another jump.

Just 10 days ago, without calling them such, Humphrey tweeted out what was apparently his top six.

Before even setting foot on campus for his mid-June official visit, he decided to pull the trigger and pledge to the Gators on Instagram this afternoon.

In addition to his abilities as a cornerback, in what is quickly becoming a reoccurring theme with the skill position players Florida is recruiting in this cycle, Humphrey is also a high school sprinter.

Humphrey is the highest-ranked Florida commitment to date, coming in as the No. 135 rated prospect in the nation according to the 247 Sports Composite.

Was/is Montinar his primary recruiter? If so, he is off to a great start.

Montinar recruits that area and he's the position coach, so I would say it's safe to assume he played a big part in the commitment.
