Florida offers another Lone Star State signal-caller

Dan Mullen has proven that Florida can find success by starting an under-the-radar quarterback from the state of Texas.

Mullen helped to turn Kyle Trask, who was rated as a three-star on the 247 Sports Composite, the No. 2,123 prospect in the nation, into a Heisman Trophy finalist who threw for 7,224-yards and 68-touchdowns while leading the Gators to a 17-6 record and two NY6 Bowl appearances in the last two seasons.

Do you think we're looking to take 2 quarterbacks this cycle? With all of the offers going out and if memory serves us leading for the Georgia qb, seems like we're searching for two which doesn't make a lot of sense unless Mullen expects a transfer after next year.

Idk how much stock we should put in Trask's 3 star rating. He just didn't see much time on the field bc he was sitting behind d'eriq. His coach was begging schools to look at Trask because the kid could play. He just didn't have a lot of film. I think Trask was just underrated and really had 4-5 star talent. Not to take away from Coach Mullen and Coach Johnson's development, I just think the idea that they transformed this kid isn't entirely true.
