On the Mark: Is the recruiting tide turning for Florida at IMG Academy

Although they had the Florida football program heading in polar opposite directions, Dan Mullen, Jim McElwain and Will Muschamp all shared at least one thing in common.

Since Bradenton (Fla.) IMG Academy became a national program back in 2014, each failed to sign a single prospect from the school while serving as the head coach of the Florida Gators.

If Mullen can get us to where we can get a couple of their players every year We'll be a threat for Atlanta every year like Alabama and Georgia.

He didn't play there. He played in Georgia last year, transferred to IMG, but then reclassified to 2020 without playing a game.

That's a fair point, but was he still enrolled at IMG academy when he signed and enrolled at UF? Or did he transfer back home?

How are they going to do Newman? He played for Wake Forest but transferred to Georgia but didn't play for them.

Is he going to be considered from Wake or UGA?

He got to IMG in January, and he was there for UF's March 7 Jr. Day, but I believe they sent everyone home when all hell broke loose with Covid-19 about two weeks later.
