In this weekly feature Inside the Gators recaps the Florida football week in recruiting with this day-by-day blog of everything that happened as it pertains to the Gators’ recruiting efforts. 

SUNDAY

– Florida picked up its 14 pledge this cycle when Seffner (Fla.) Armwood athlete Charles Montgomery‍ announced for the Gators during a ceremony at his church.

The third Miami (Fla.) Palmetto target released his top five, this time it was defensive tackle Leonard Taylor- with a list which included Auburn, Florida, LSU, Miami and Tennessee.

–  Former Florida commit Brashard Smith‍ tweeted out a top-five of Auburn, Florida, Miami, Oregon, and Tennessee.

– Florida offered their second running back of the week when the Gators extended an offer to Dothan (Ala.) three-star back Jaylin White‍.

WEDNESDAY

After extending an offer earlier this month, on Wednesday Florida hosted three-star Florida State commit Jake Slaughter‍ on a virtual visit.

Miami (Fla.) Palmetto four-star safety Corey Collier Jr.tweeted out a top-six which included Clemson, Florida, Florida State, Georgia, LSU, and Miami.

TUESDAY

 Birmingham (Ala.) Ramsey four-star Jeremiah Williams‍ - and more importantly his mother - took an almost two-hour virtual visit to Florida.

East Mississippi C.C cornerback Khyree Jackson was offered by Florida - joining programs such as Alabama and Oklahoma. 

– Canonsburg (Pa.) Peter’s Township three-star defensive back Donovan McMillon‍, who Florida hosted on a virtual visit, announced he will announce a top five next week.

MONDAY

– Antioch (Tn.) Cane Ridge 2021 wide receiver Quenton Barnes‍ - who had a dominating performance at a Florida June Summer Camp session last year, announced a top five which included the Gators, LSU, Ole Miss, Tennessee, and Texas A&M

After being given a virtual tour of Florida the prior week, Knightdale (N.C.) three-star running back Trevion Cooley‍ was offered by the Gators.
