- The improvement at Safety can't be overstated. Also, moving Marco to Nickel has made a huge difference.
- Diabate is going to be our next great pass rusher. Future all conference
- We always seem to bail too early from the run game when it is working on the outside. Had good gains with a jet sweep to Toney, a draw to Perine off Tackle but never went to it again. There is more opportunity there that we don't use enough IMO.
- We are going to miss this group of receivers next season. It keeps being said that this is the best group since Tebow's senior year. But I think it goes back further than that. I don't ever recall us being this deep. We have 8 that will end up on NFL rosters.
- The more I watched our defense the last 2 games, the more frustrated I get about the UGA performance. We have so much more success on 3rd down when we press with one high safety. The 8 yd cushion that we gave UGA receivers one 3rd down after another, when it clearly wasn't working, was just an awful coaching job.
- Having said all that ...a 10-2 season, with a NY6 appearance, seems probable at this point. Nothing wrong with that - I'll take it. I never felt like we were a serious playoff contender anyway... but there is nothing wrong with being that next group of 4-6 teams that are real close. UF football is fun to watch again and unlike the dark years, the 7 years prior to Mullen, at least you feel like you have a shot with this staff.
