Recruiting Wire: Two receivers cleared to enroll

July 10, 2019

17 months for just $76.00 or 4 months for $17.76

The Situation:  Deland (Fla.) 2019 three-star wide receiver signee Dionte Marks‍ announced via social media that he had attained a high enough test score to enroll at the University of Florida next week.

Impact Analysis: A week ago, concerning the ‘mortality’ rate - or to be a bit less dramatic, the prospects of non qualifiers, it looked a bit ominous here in the final stages of getting the Class of 2019 on campus.

Florida has already lost Diwun Black‍ and Deyavie Hammondto JUCO and is still waiting for offensive lineman Wardrick Wilsonto make it through immigration.

As we have been updating in our We Chomp Chat: Summer B arrivals thread, that left wide out signees Marks and Arjei Hendersonas possible non-qualifiers waiting on test scores.

Henderson informed Inside the Gators on Monday evening that he had received his test score, and now, here on Wednesday Marks reports that he is in as well.

This is big news in that while I wouldn’t expect either to contribute this coming season, they will definitely be counted on in 2020 as Florida will be replacing 4-5 wide outs.

It will be interesting to see how they fit in next year. I haven’t seen Henderson, other than on tape, but I am higher on Marks than the three-star rating he gets from the various services.
