3* U!

If we land Braun and Walker, these long term development prospects are fine...but if we miss on Braun and/or Walker, then it is going to say a lot about this staff's inability to recruit talent.

EDIT - based on some reading I did, the strong consensus is that he will get a bump in the ratings and probably will get into the 87-88 range, which is a high 3*.

My understanding is that Penn State, Miami, and Florida State have been recruiting him pretty hard...so if all that is true perhaps this is not as "bad" as it seems. Particularly if we are still in the mix for Braun and Walker.

If we don't get brain and walker our line will be completely made out of three stars by next season...kind of ridiculous tbh

That is a bit extreme.....

We currently have 7 Blue Chips (out of 16) or 44%....which is far better than 2017 when it was 27%.

Ignoring JR Delance and SO Moore (blue chip hold overs) the other 5 Blue Chips will all be Redshirt Freshman or True Freshman....

I get the need to recruit better talent, but lets not go off the edge over one recruit.

It's just a status quo at this point...honestly I think we get Walker and Leonard...but Mullen is known for pulling multiples on the line and likes the smaller more mobile line (not as small as GT was) but still smaller than traditional SEC rosters

Hmm, I'm not sure about the smaller part, his lines at MSU were well north of 300...

Staff
Taking these guys this weekend makes more sense now. If they wanted three, as we had been told, it didn't make sense to take the two commits over the weekend if Braun and Walker were still on the board. I would bet that when the family didn't come on Friday, even if it was because the one son was expecting a baby (which was born Sunday), they either told the staff what was happening or the staff saw the writing on the wall.

Yes....we were told that once again we need to lock in our backup plans....
