The Florida Gators began preparations for their 2019 season on a warm Tuesday afternoon with fans watching from the sideline. The first spring practice was open to the public and they were treated to a glimpse of a team who is amply more confident and prepared in year two under ahead coach Dan Mullen.

Kicking off the afternoon, Mullen told his team “Learn to play with a certain amount of effort, learn to play with strain."

Thumbs Up: Mullen said afterwards he was pleased with the energy level but also the understanding of expectations from the guys on day one.

I really enjoy watching and reading about Trey Dean. He is not only a great player, but he is a great competitor and tries to out work everyone out there. I remember from last spring and fall that he would stay late to get more reps after practice. When a player stays after practice, it tends to be overlooked at times. I have always admired Franks work ethic from what I have read and seen. He's been working really hard the last two off-seasons, and I hope it still continues to pay off for him.
