Flying under the radar no more

Out of Florida's seven current 2020 commitments, only one isn't rated as at least a composite four-star prospect.

Actually, going by his current ranking by the three services, Bradenton (Fla.) IMG Academy defensive end Josh Griffis‍ isn't even considered a high three-star at this point in time.

However, while nothing is a given, that may soon be changing.

After dominating performances the last two weekends at the Under Armour Miami and Orlando stops. During Sunday's camp even the official UA Twitter account tweeted out how impressed they were with the 6-foot-5, 235-pounder:

Afterwards he was named the top defensive lineman at the camp.

The previous staff had issues with player development, game planning, play calling, communication, the truth, etc. However, they had an eye for talent based on the 2019, 2020 and 2021 recruits they identified

That's what I'm wondering because the old staff took recruits like Goolsby and McRae that this staff and a lot of other staffs didn't want.

Well, first, consider a football team that went 4-7 in 2017, recruited by the previous staff. There was talent there to go 10-3 in 2018 with a big Bowl win under Mullen's staff in 2019. And in part, the foundation for some in the 2020 and 2021 class was started by some of the coaches from the previous staff.
