Highly-touted quarterback Jalon Jones‍ has been firm in his commitment since his April decision to pledge to the Gators. The 6-foot-3, 205-pound prospect will be in Gainesville (Fla.) this weekend for his official visit before he signs on December 19.

Jones talks about why he’s excited to come back to his future home.

“Just coming back and you know, just being back in The Swamp is big. Shoot, it’s been about two months since I’ve been down there so I’m just excited to go back and I don’t have to pay for anything,” laughed Jones.

I love it. He needs to be all over Zipperer and Summerall this weekend.

If he could come back next week for Sanders that would be great.

What's the benefit of silently committing? Wouldn't you want it to be known publicly so that other recruits see it?

They want to make the announcement in public, with a big show or they want to make a video.

Just doesn't make sense to me. Unless they make it known to other recruits - in that case, it probably makes no difference.

I think the staff knows and they let the kids have their time in the spot light in front of the camera.

A lot of this is being orchestrated by DM. We will have a fantastic finish.
