As Lawrenceville (Ga.) Mountain View four-star defensive tackle Jaelin Humphries‍ gets ready for college, the four-star Florida commit admits that he is thinking about more than just football.

Education played as big a role in his decision as football.

“A degree from Florida holds a lot of value and recognition,” said Humphries.

However, on the field success is also something the 6-foot-3, 303-pounder is looking forward to.

After an in-home visit from Gators Defensive Coordinator Todd Grantham late last week, Humphries told Inside the Gators, “I like how well his scheme works.

If Humphries shows up in shape and commits himself to S&C with Coach Savage he could push for playing time in '19. Campbell is the only young DT that really stepped up. The Bam Bam boys disappeared or were injured. Shuler played a lot at 275 and was effective thank goodness.

You're right. The "bam bam boys" turned out to be the "spam ham boys" who were too out-of-shape to consistently contribute to Grantham's scheme.
