TOTAL FLORIDA FOOTBALL & RECRUITING COVERAGE:
While Florida was knocking off LSU on Saturday night in-front of a packed Ben Hill Griffin Stadium, Lakeland (Fla.) four-star tight end Keon Zipperer, one of Florida’s biggest offensive prospects, was in the stands watching intently.
He discussed what it was like being inside The Swamp.
“Best atmosphere in college history I’ve been too. I’ve never been to a college game like that,” Zipperer said.
Zipperer later added the win over LSU certainly helped the Gators’ chances and he’ll be visiting again for another game.
The crowd, former players and current prospects seemed energetic the entire 60-minutes of the game. The offense delivered a go-ahead scoring drive in the fourth quarter and never looked back.

Florida dialed up several key plays to the tight end and Zipperer noticed how Florida utilized the position.
“It’s really good to see. A lot of schools will feed you lies, but I really came and seen it for myself. They give them the ball and that’s really all I want. I can help them a whole bunch,” Zipperer said.
During his time in Gainesville, Zipperer spoke with tight ends coach Larry Scott and head coach Dan Mullen. He describes the message the coaches are relaying to him.
“Coach Mullen told me don’t come if I’m not ready to play and coach Scott said I know where it’s at,” Zipperer said.
Florida has three senior tight ends departing after the 2018 season and receiving Zipperer’s signature would be huge for this staff.
Late in the week Zipperer released his a list of his top six schools, which included: Florida, Alabama, Penn State, Oklahoma, LSU and Miami. He won’t be taking official visits during the season but released which schools he’ll be visiting at the conclusion of the season.
“I’m going to Penn State, Oklahoma, Bama, Florida and Miami. For right now, they're in December until I schedule something."
Zipperer will be a December signee but will not early enroll. However, when he makes his college decision it’ll be a decision based on his heart.
“I’m just following my heart really. Talk to my parents and follow my heart.”
