After picking up an offer from Florida in late February, Eatonton (Ga.) Putnam County three-star safety Jalon Kilgore immediately went about setting up a trip to campus.

That visit took place this past Saturday.

"The highlight of the visit was talking to Coach [Billy] Napier and them talking about the NIL deals. Those were great conversations," said Kilgore.

The 6-foot-1, 190-pounder then went into more depth about what Napier had to say to him.

"He was just saying how great of a player and person I am and how great my family is and that I am definitely a guy for their organization."

Kilgore said that while he didn't really interact with other visitors, he did spend time with two other Florida coaches.

"The coaches that I hung around the most were Coach CJ [Wilford] and Coach [Patrick] Toney," explained Kilgore. "They were telling me how great the school is and how they met Coach Napier and from what they were telling me he is a great man."

He hasn't got to know them really well yet, but going off of first impressions, Kilgore said he is impressed with Florida's coaching staff.

"The new staff is absolutely amazing and I can tell they are going to have a great season this year."

As for leaders, Kilgore said that he wants to take some visits and see what is out there before he starts putting together a list.

"I’m still looking at my options but Florida is definitely up there on my list," said Kilgore. "Right now what I have planned is I’m visiting Georgia Tech, South Carolina, Clemson and I will definitely try to get back to Florida for an official visit."

Kilgore currently doesn't have a Consensus ranking but comes in as a three-star on On3.
