OFFICIAL VISITORS

DJ Allen‍

Receiver""

The Skinny: He really isn't getting talked about as much as his situation might dictate, which leads me to believe perhaps there is something going on behind the scenes. Here is a four-star receiver, a position where UF doesn't have a single commit to date, whose only January official visit is to UF. Two things we are watching coming out of the weekend: How does Allen feel about Florida and how does Caleb Douglas feel about LSU.

Danny Lewis‍

Tight End""

The Skinny: This visit, to me at least, is a bit of a surprise – from both sides. Florida already has four scholarship tight ends on campus and two more committed this cycle. Would UF even consider carrying seen scholarship tight ends? If not, who is leaving? On the other side, once LSU offered I assumed that it would be over for him. Instead, after Alabama offered, he visited the Tide last weekend and will visit Gainesville this weekend rather than Baton Rouge.

Matthew McCoy‍

Offensive Lineman""

The Skinny: McCoy told Inside the Gators that he is expected to arrive on campus – via a car service – at roughly 2:30 this afternoon. Coming into the weekend he said that it is down to Florida and Miami. We’ll see if UF can close the deal by Sunday.

@Jack P">Jack Pyburn‍

Defensive Lineman""

The Skinny: He just announced his official visit this morning and Inside the Gator just got off the phone with him just before we started writing this. He is coming to town with his entire family and a trainer in tow. His parents are both UF graduates and if things go well expect him to be offered over the weekend and it wouldn't be surprising if he committed not long afterward.

Caden Story‍

Defensive Lineman""

The Skinny:  If you go back to December when Story told Inside the Gators that Florida head coach Billy Napier and defensive coordinator Patrick Toney were two of the first coaches to contact him, he sounded pretty high on the Gators. Even though he has an announced top three of Auburn, Clemson, and Florida, it is Clemson who is thought to be the leader, meaning the Gators have some ground to make up this weekend.
