Four-star lineman talks upcoming Florida official visit

Unlike every other position, currently, Florida's offensive line board is bereft of national type of prospects, other than one lone exception, who has now set his official visit to Florida

After officially visiting Miami and Oklahoma over the summer, Federal Way (Wa.) Todd Beamer four-star offensive tackle Malik Agbo‍ has set two SEC official visits for November.

“I've got Auburn (11/13) and I’m coming to the [Florida] game against Florida State (11/27),” said Agbo.

As for Florida, they are showing him how important he is to the Gators’ recruiting class by making recruiting him a group effort.

“I have contact with the whole offensive coaching staff at Florida almost every day,” said Agbo. “We continue to build bonds all throughout the program. Their message to me is that they not only want me there they need guys like me to help the team win and get better and better.”

Not only has Florida's efforts in recruiting him caught his attention, but he said he has been able to follow what the offensive line has been able to accomplish in leading Florida to ranking as the No. 2 rush offense in the nation.

“Coach [John] Hevesy has been really good with his guys along with the players buying into what Coach [Dan] Mullen has going on in Gainesville, they put in the work, and on Saturday’s it’s showtime for them and they go out there and kick butt all game!”

Other than Florida, Agbo currently lists Auburn, LSU, Miami, Oklahoma, and Texas among his top schools, and he feels like three of them are after him the hardest.

“Texas has been really on me along with Miami and Oklahoma as well.”

The 6-foot-6, 320-pounder said that he won't be ready to further narrow his list until he takes all of his official visits.

“As of right now, I can only speak on Miami and Oklahoma because those are the two I’ve taken my OV’s too,” said Agbo. “But other than that, everyone is pretty even, and yes Florida has a legitimate chance for me to go and play football over in Gainesville.”

Agbo is the No. 272 rated prospect in the nation according to the 247 Sports Composite.

The Inside Scoop: The offensive line board isn't exactly expansive, so it's probably not a stretch to call Agbo the top remaining target along the line. You certainly don't love Florida's chances as of today, but a great official visit weekend inside the Swamp could change things.
