Las Vegas (NV) Bishop Gorman four-star defensive end Cyrus Moss, the No. 54 ranked prospect in the nation according to the 247 Sports Composite, has rescheduled his official visit to Florida.
“I wanted to get out there this weekend for the game vs Alabama, but more so I just want to get to Florida,” said Moss. “So I'm still excited. “
Instead of this weekend, the 6-foot-6, 220-pounder said he will officially visit the Gators in October.
“I'm going to the Vanderbilt (10/8) game now,” Moss told Inside the Gators. “They (the Florida staff) just kinda pushed for that. They didn't necessarily say no to me visiting this weekend or anything. It was an easier date to make for my schedule too.”
After his visit to Florida in October, Moss will take an official visit to Alabama when they face LSU the first week of November.
His fifth and final official visit will likely go to Ohio State, though he has yet to set that date.
He also still has Clemson, Oregon, and Notre Dame under consideration.
The Inside Scoop: Other than the fact that the atmosphere won't be anywhere near the level for Vanderbilt that it will be for Alabama, this is a win-win for Florida. They'll get a chance to host Moss later in the process, closer to when he is making his decision, and truthfully, with Alabama as a finalist, the Gators aren't risking paying for him to see them suffer a beating at the hands of the Tide.
