Lakeland (Fla.) Class of 2020 signee Fenley Graham is primed to be the next great “Gatornaught” in Gainesville.
The Lakeland High School product was one of the best returners in the nation and feels that he can bring his elite playmaking abilities to The Swamp… on both sides of the ball.
In this edition of Getting to Know, Graham reminisces on some of his favorite memories as a Lakeland Dreadnaught, looks to the future at UF, and gives us a glimpse into his personal life.
What was the craziest, strangest or weirdest moment of the recruiting cycle?
”After the 2018 State Championship game, coaches really started calling me. I was getting recruited before that, but not a lot. Like after that state game, it really started blowing up.”
If you could play a sport outside of football, which sport would it be?
What is your favorite football memory?
“The 2018 State Championship game.”
What would you say are some of your greatest strengths as a football player? What do you need to work on?
“For strengths, I would say versatility, being able to adjust to anything being told like play-calling and doing what needs to be done on either side of the ball.
“I have to work on my hand-eye coordination and some of my defensive skills. (Graham believes he could play on both sides of the ball at UF.)”
What is the most appealing part to you about the University of Florida?
”I don’t know if everyone feels this way, but it’s just different out there. If you do what you’re supposed to be doing it’s the best life you could live.”
Who is the prospect that you have talked to the most from the Class of 2020?
“I’m close with Tre’vez Johnson. I met him on my official visit. I was already close with Gervon Dexter because he’s from Lake Wales. And I’m close with Keon [Zipperer], but he’s already there.”
If you could pick any jersey number, what would it be?
“24, cause of Kobe [Bryant].”
What is your major?
”I’m not sure yet, but probably something involving business.”
If you a chance to go on a dream date, who would it be with?
What would be your first purchase if you got drafted in the first round of the NFL Draft?
”I would buy my mom a house.”
What is one thing that you cannot live without it?

Who has been the biggest role model for you in your life?
”My older cousin.”
What are your favorite types of music? Do you have a favorite artist or song?
”Rich Homie Quan.”

”It’s not like a ‘show,’ but Flash on Netflix.
If you could spend the day with anyone, past or present, who would it be and why?
”Russell Westbrook, so I can talk to him about how he got to where he is from where he was.”
Where do you see yourself five years from now?
”In five years, I’m in the league.”
What are three things on your bucket list?
”I want to ride a jetski cause I’ve never rode one before, I want to buy myself a dirt bike and I want to eat some weird food.”
What is one thing about you that the Gator Nation would be surprised to find out about?
”I was the only varsity starter at Lakeland my freshman year.”
