Football/Recruiting
Take us through the process that led to your commitment. What was that experience like for you?
“Since my recruitment carried out until National Signing Day, the last weeks were the most stressful three weeks of my life. It was wild because I was going on back-to-back-to-back official visits and it was stressful before I came to the decision.”
What was most appealing about Florida?
“Facts like my playing time and things like that also location and staff. Florida is not too much different from Texas weather-wise, and I like that.”
Which school came in second for you and why?
“Probably I would say Baylor because I was like on the edge before Matt Rhule left for the NFL. I was thinking like “I’m gonna go there” and then Dave Aranda came in, but I liked Rhule so much and I didn’t know Aranda like he’s cool and down to earth, but the team didn’t look at each other like teammates, they looked at each other like brothers and that was something I really liked.”
What was the craziest, strangest or weirdest moment of the recruiting cycle?
“I would probably say when a Texas coach explained the reasons why I should go to Texas and he said I would find a wife at Texas.
If there is one thing you could change about the recruiting process, what would it be?
“Definitely I would put a limit on how often you can text and call a recruit a week.
If you could play a sport outside of football, which sport would it be?
“Basketball.”
What is your favorite football memory?
“This past season. We were in round three for the playoffs and there were like 15 seconds left and the other team had the ball on the 30, and I got the game-winning sack.”
What would you say are some of your greatest strengths as a football player? What do you need to work on?
“My strengths are pass rush, using my hands and knowing other team’s offense, like I can call out the plays before they do them. What I need to work on is going 100% every play. Like I do go 100%, but I need to work on doing it play after play. In high school, I didn’t have much competition, so I wouldn’t go after it every play but I’m going to in college.”
Who is the prospect that you have talked to the most from the Class of 2020?
“Gervon Dexter or Rashad Torrence but on the roster, Mohamoud Diabate or Kyree Campbell.”
If you could pick any jersey number, what would it be?
“I was thinking 11, but Mohamoud has it on the defense. But probably 18.”
Which NFL player do you liken yourself to the most?
“I would probably say Nick Bosa.”

If you a chance to go on a dream date, who would it be with?
“Crystal Westbrooks or India Love.”
What would be your first purchase if you got drafted in the first round of the NFL Draft?
“Buy my mom a car. When NFL players post videos of buying their parents a house or a car, people always say “Why did you do that, it has no value.” But you know it’s like, I got money, that’s why.”
What is one item that you cannot live without it?
“My phone.”
What is your favorite professional football team?
“The Seahawks.”
Who is your favorite professional player right now?
“Joey Bosa.”
Who has been the biggest role model for you in your life?
“My mentor. It’s crazy how much of an example he leads. Like if you could raise a son, it would be him. He takes you through all of life’s difficulties and says what to do or not to. He’s really where he wants to be in life.”
What are your favorite types of music? Do you have a favorite artist or song?
“Roddy Ricch.”
What is your favorite movie?
“Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows.”

Where do you see yourself five years from now?
“I would see myself going into my second season in the NFL.”
What are three things on your bucket list?
“Skydiving, scuba diving and winning a National Championship.”
What is one thing about you that the Gator Nation would be surprised to find out about?
“I make TikToks (@D1Princely).”
