Florida welcomed quite a few prospects to the Swamp for the Friday Night Lights Camp and recruiting event, some for the first time ever, but one of the most important visitors was already quite familiar with both the campus and the program.
It was a long time coming, but Clearwater (Fla.) Superior Collegiate Academy running back Keyvone Lee finally made it back to Gainesville after de-committing in February.
WCC: I'm not saying it means anything, but it was Keyvone @KeyvoneL Lee's idea to throw up the Chomp with Florida commit Jaquavion @_UnoZero Fraziars. Complete coverage on https://t.co/20NhoU6NoD pic.twitter.com/sj4wMlupI9

The 2020 prospect told Inside the Gators a hamstring issue kept him from working out at Friday Night Lights, but as Early National Signing Day looms large, just over four months away, the 6-foot, 233-pounder is taking in as much as he can before making a final decision.
“I ain’t been in a minute and I wanted to come back and see it,” Lee said of his return trip to Gainesville. “Just wanted to come up here, have a fun time, and enjoy it. Come back and see the coaches… they’re like family to me.”
Lee stayed through the end of the event, but plans to visit Florida State today for its recruiting event Saturday Night Live.
While he said when it comes to making a decision he would like to stay closer to home, having to leave the state for college it is far from a deal-breaker.
“I mean if I have to leave I will. I would love to stay in-state and play. If I don’t, there’s no pressure.”
As the recruiting process winds down, the rising senior is mostly prioritizing “loyalty” and “keeping in contact” from his future coaching staff.
Although he chalked up his de-commitment to wanting to explore other campuses and not wanting to be locked in from his sophomore year to Signing Day, Lee did express some feelings of resentment from when he was a Gator commit.
“They left me out like they ain’t want me. They came back strong, though,” he added with a smile.
Since re-opening his recruitment, Lee has taken trips to Alabama, FSU, and LSU; plus, an official visit to Penn State in April.
He doesn’t have a list of finalists, but says the schools most in the picture for him are the Gators, the Tide, the Noles, the Tigers, the Nittany Lions, UCF and Georgia.
When it comes to taking official visits, the board looks a little different.
“I’m going to try to go to North Carolina, Georgia, and LSU for sure. The last one I don’t know.”
However, he does know it will not be Florida.
“It’s just so close to home, you know?”
Lee is hoping to sign and enroll early. He told Inside the Gators that his commitment date should be anywhere from October to December.
Lee is the No. 180 ranked prospect in the nation according to the 247 Sports Composite.
