Lakeland (Fla.) Lake Gibson prospect Morven Joseph officially committed to the Florida Gators in February of 2019. The 6-foot-2, 210-pound defensive end made his decision two weeks after attending a Florida Junior Day.
However, though he remains committed to the Orange & Blue, on Wednesday morning Joseph released his top eight schools via Twitter and said he’ll be taking all five of his official visits.
Since his commitment, Joseph has received offers from the likes of Alabama, Auburn, Florida State and Georgia Tech. However, the one school in Joseph’s top eight that currently sticks out is Virgina.
The Cavaliers offered him in November of 2018 and have continued to show love.
“Virginia has been recruiting me the most,” Joseph said. “But all the schools on my list have been coming after me hard.
A close-knit family atmosphere seems to attract Joseph to Vigrinia.
“A lot of things about football and off the field,” Joseph said. “Just stuff like that and Virginia really sticks out when I visit them. With the coaches being so close to each other and the players, it’s really like a family up there.”
Joseph will be making all five official visits, which he plans to take in the fall. The three-star defensive end revealed to Inside the Gators that Virginia and Florida have already secured two of his five visits.
Joseph explained that is relationship with the Gators remains good and that his commitment level to the Gators is “pretty high”.
A consensus three-star, Joseph is the No. 472 ranked prospect in the nation on the 247 Composite.
