Mount Dora (Fla.) Christian Academy linebacker Jesiah Pierre hasn’t questioned his decision to pledge to Florida since making his commitment over the summer.
His official visit to Florida this past weekend and hosting Florida coaches in his house a twice in the past two weeks has only solidified his choice of colleges.
The 6-foot-2, 220 pound outside linebacker was taken aback by his weekendin Gainesville.
"The most spectacular visit ever,” said Pierre. “The family atmosphere, the coaches, players, other people included it was just an overall great experience!"
Pierre hasn’t waivered one bit since committing to Florida in July mostly because of the relationship he has with the Florida staff. During his visit on campus, Pierre had an opportuntity to continue to strengthen relationships with the coaching staff, hanging out with Dan Mullen, Christian Robinson, Ron English and Todd Grantham.
Pierre mentioned that Robinson envisions him getting playing time in the middle of the defense, playing the "mack" position.
The linebacker position is a huge need for the Gators recruiting class and Pierre brings athleticism and size to this group.
The Florida staff has a simple message for Pierre: "Keep grinding."
Florida hosted several elite prospects this past weekend and Pierre reveals one prospect he was on the most and could see a potential flip.
"Dontae Lucas,” said Pierre. “The FSU commit. I talked to him about things revolving around UF and life in general."
When asked whether he believes Lucas will be a part of the Gators 2019 signing class, Pierre responded with a simple, "Yes."
