Three-star receiver commit Ja’Markis Weston had two words for Inside the Gators reporters wondering how his official visit went.

“Damn good.”

Weston verbally committed to the Gators in July of 2017. Since then, though he did visit Penn State, the Clewiston (Fla.) native has not wavered on his pledge.

This weekend only confirmed his decision to sign to Florida, saying, “The staff treats me like I’m part of family… like I’m here already.”

Weston’s relationship with the Florida coaching staff is one of the main reasons why he plans to sign with th Gators in two weeks.

While Dan Mullen didn’t need to spend too much time recruiting the receiver this weekend, Weston said that the meeting with his future coach was the highlight of his visit.

“It wasn’t even football,” Weston said. “He told me how great of a person I was.”

And as for the message from receivers coach Billy Gonzales?

“He told me to just keep doing what I’m doing.”

Weston informed Inside the Gators that Florida can expect some of the visitors who are curently uncommitted to make their pledge to the Gators after the weekend as well.

While he did not divulge who might join him in the Swamp next season, he did have a message for anyone who has not pulled the trigger yet.

“They gonna enjoy everything, it’s gonna be fun.”
