Florida checks in on linebacker commit Pierre

The Florida Gators coaching staff began hitting the recruiting trail hard on Sunday. Coaches are scattered around the country making in-home visits with commits and targets alike.

Mount Dora (Fla.) Christian Academy linebacker Jesiah Pierre‍ was one of the first prospects to receive a visit when Florida safeties coach Ron English stopped by on Sunday to discuss football and more.

Since the 6-foot-2, 220-pound linebacker has been firm to his Gators pledge since his Summer commitment the visit was more personal than recruiting.

Pierre discussed Ron English's message to him, "Well to keep working and work hard in football. But most importantly get that degree, education matters the most."

When asked about his future major, Pierre informed Inside the Gators he'll be focusing in business.

The Florida coaching staff will be the only staff visiting Pierre this week as he's "All UF".

Pierre watched the Florida State game this past weekend and shared his thoughts on Mullen and his first season.

"Amazing! More History to be made, I’m excited about what Mullen is gonna do."

The nation's No. 41 overall linebacker also mentioned he'll be official visiting on December 7 and committing just 12 days later and will be early enrolling.
