        Insider Scrimmage Tidbits

Anthony Richardson had some really big runs and had a rushing touchdown. However, he also threw a couple of picks to Jordan Young and Kamar Wilcoxson.

All of the running backs played a lot today. Montrell Johnson and Nay’Quan Wright had monster touchdown runs. Lorenzo Lingard had some big runs. Trevor Ettiene also had some nice plays out of the backfield and is really looking good. This is probably the deepest group.

The starting receivers were Justin Shorter, Xzavier Henderson, and Daejeon Reynolds probably got the most reps with the starters. Trent Whittemore also started in the slot. Reynolds probably had the longest catch of the day but overall kind of a disappointing day for the receivers.

The starting offensive linemen today were Richard Gouriage. Richie Leonard, Kingsley Eguakun, O’Cyrus Torrence, and Micheal Tarquin.

Overall they had an up and down day with some struggling in the beginning to move the ball and then having some strong drives. Tarquin was the best lineman today.

Starting defensive linemen, and the package Princely Umanmeilen, Gervon Dexter, Chris McClellan and Brenton Cox were the first ones out there but eventually rotated with Jalen Lee and Antwauan Powell.

David Reese had two sacks today and also looked like Tyreak Sapp had a sack. Also previously mentioned that Jordan Young and Kamar Wilcoxson had picks. Wilcoxson’s pick came from a Scooby Wiliams tip.

It looked like Ricky Pearsall and Jason Marshall were in the pit to begin practice and eventually joined the sidelines.

Also saw Amari Burney not participating.

The two deep secondary to start was Avery Helm and Devin Moore with Rashad Torrence and Trey Dean at safety. Guys who mixed in were Kamari Wilson and Donovan McMillon as well as Wilcoxson and Ethan Pouncey.

I think Scooby Williams and Shemar James had really good days. The defensive line group and secondary were the strongest today. Anthony Richardson didn’t have a great day passing, but made a lot of plays with his legs.

The running backs we’re also very solid.

That’s not good news on Richardson. Our best corner Marshall wasn’t out there and he still can’t throw the ball against our defense.

We know he can run but he needs to start being able to pass.

Why wasn’t Kimber starting or at least in the top 2 depth chart?
