On Richardson’s endzone INT: Said it was a designed run play with an option to throw the fade. Richardson decided to throw the fade but it was a poor throw.

On Ventrell Miller: “I don’t know if you can replace Ventrell Miller.”
Said that he thought Scooby Williams and Shemar James stepped up when their number was called.
On Michael Tarquin making the start: Said outside of his early penalty, he made a good start and made some big blocks. Said he’s a young guy that the offense can build around.
Asked on what the trajectory of this team is after defeated a team that some would describe as an easy opponent: Napier said he doesn’t listen to that and believes that USF if a good team who can compete in the AAC.
“I think Jeff Scott’s team played a heck of a game.”

On Anthony Richardson noticeably hobbling tonight and if he’s battling an injury: “Not that I know of.”

Richardson on the endzone INT: Said they were gassing them with the run game, and he saw Shorter one-on-one.

On reading the defense and learning the playbook: Richardson said he’s still growing.
Should note that Montrell Johnson’s long TD run was a check by Richardson at the line.

On the second half: Said that USF was running the same coverages, but he personally was struggling. Said after the fact, he can see what he should’ve done and what he needs to do.
Richardson was extremely efficient in the first-half but sunk in quicksand in the second half.

On his confidence: Richardson said he can feel it coming back but it’s not quite back to normal. On his struggles, he said that it’s football and he just needs to play better.
“Nobody wants to see zero touchdowns and two interceptions. I just need to play better.”

On a sluggish third quarter: Said the team started slow just by not doing the simple things.

On his INT: Said it felt incredible to get his first career INT, but that the team has plenty of improve to do. Said that that was Patrick Toney’s message.
On transferring to Florida: Said Florida was the best option with Corey Raymond coming in.
On the emotions of the missed field goal: “I was just excited he missed it.” Said it wasn’t how the team wanted the game to go, but they’re happy to get the win.
On Tre’Vez Johnson’s INT: Said PT preaches getting INTs for the DBs.
On studying the film heading into this week: Said they never take any opponent lightly and they know how important it is to get a win. “We got to understand what’s a head of us.”
