Actually, Colin Castleton and Kyle Lofton are first.

Lofton said the defense had trouble finding guys defensively, which lead to FAU’s 3’s

Castleton spoke on the Gators’ poor shooting. Said that sometimes the ball just doesn’t fall and that they need to focus more on the things they can control: transition defense, contesting shots, etc.

On playing heavily tonight: Lofton and Castleton both said they weren’t fatigued as they are used to playing major minutes. Castleton said they need to focus on the correctable mistakes on defense.

Lofton: “If they (Kennesaw State and FAU) are out muscling us, we’re going to have a problem.”

Notes that facing SEC teams, especially on the road, is tougher because those teams are stronger than the ones they’ve faced so far.

“To be honest, I don’t really care because we lost.” – Castleton on his 30-point performance

FAU head coach Dusty May is speaking. May previously was an assistant under White and is the father of Jack May.

Said he had no doubt they could have a strong shooting performance, but noted they aren’t as good on the road as they are at home. Said this was a great shooting environment, which helped.

On Colin Castleton: Joked he thought he was going to break the NCAA block record and added that they tried “about eight” different defenses to contest him. Said when he and Lofton are on the floor together, it challenges defenses because of their ability to play the pick-and-roll and kick it out to shooters.

Overall on the win: “This is by far the best win we’ve had as a program.”

May on Florida: “We follow the Gators pretty closely, especially with Jack on the team.”

Said he talks to his son about 30 minutes a day about how practice went, but said it was tough not talking to him much lately due to the game.

On outscoring Florida’s bench 34-5: Said he doesn’t consider a lot of his players bench players because of split minutes. Said that number is skewed.

On Florida’s bench scoring: Golden doesn’t believe that Florida’s bench lost the game. “Colin played pretty well. Kyle played pretty well.”

Said that 3-point shooting won FAU the game. “We just got bombed out tonight.”

“Transition was an area we got bopped pretty good.”

Also adds that in-bound defense was not up to standard.

At halftime, said that they wanted to limit FAU to less than 7 3PT attempts, but the Owls shot 11, hit 5 and won by 2.

Offensively, Golden said shot selection was good (Florida only shot 17 3PT attempts), but it was about finishing shots.

On Florida struggling in transition defense: Said it was about awareness and not sorting guys out in transition.

Said the team played well physically with rebounding and protecting the rim, but transition defense and limited 3PT shots cost them.

On Colin Castleton: “He was fantastic. I mean, he’s one of the best players in the country. That was pretty clear.”

Said he doesn’t expect him to put these numbers consistently, but he expects him to be the best player on the court.

On CJ Felder: said he didn’t play with great energy today

On Jason Jitoboh: said he’s earned more minutes than what he’s getting, but it’s hard to play him with how well Castleton is playing.

Added that the big-men weren’t the reason FAU hit 13 3PTers

On Trey Bonham: “He’s a very good player. I have a lot of confidence in him. I don’t think he played confidently against Kennessaw State.”

Adds that they have two really good PGs and two really good centers, and guys like Kowacie Reeves are stepping up.

“In a tight game like this, I rely on my senior leaders more.”

      That concludes the PC.
