On Kowacie Reeves: “I did a bad job this week in a couple of ways.”
Said that his lack of play wasn’t disciplinary at all, more rotational.

Part of Reeves’ lack of playing time was Trey Bonham stepping up, but Golden said that it’s still on him to get Reeves into the rotation.
On Castleton: said the last two teams played more physical than the previous teams. Said as Castleton plays well, the team plays well and vice versa.
Said that he’s been challenging Castleton all week and added that the rest of the team still needs to step up if Castleton struggles.

On the West Virginia game: “Those four minutes of the second half were disgusting.”
Said they’ll address it, but won’t dwell on it. Added that they did not respond to adversity at all.
On playing guys with foul trouble: said that the team will continue to be aggressive with playing guys in foul trouble.

On if WVU was mental or physical: said it was a combo of both. Added that officiating got into their heads too. Said they showed poor resolve in the face of adversity.

On the Famu game this week: “It’s a good opportunity to learn how resilient we are.”

On 3PT shooting: said that they weren’t very settled against WVU, was the first team that really pressured them.
Said that a combination of lack of practice time + lack of bodies on scout team didn’t prep them well, but they’ll use the experience of WVU as preparation going into SEC play.

On the players overcoming adversity with officiating: Golden said he needs to go a better job of keeping them focused on the task rather than on things they can’t control.
“We have to get better there, and we will.”

On the point guard spot: “Kyle’s (Lofton) been good. He’s been solid. He’s a guy that really understands winning.”
Praised him for his composure during the WVU game.
