On the success defensively: “We’ve done a much better job keeping teams out of transition.”

Says that if he did a better job prepping it earlier in the season, they would have likely beat FAU and made it closer against Xavier.

On Alex Fudge’s health: “Alex is day-to-day. He didn’t practice yesterday.”

For tomorrow, he considers Fudge doubtful to go.

Said that guys like Jitoboh, Reeves and Richard will have to step up depending on their lineup.

On the cold stretches offensively, said that the second half cold stretch was tentativeness and that he has to do better to prep the team.

On Lofton and Jones at PG: “They’ve really settled us.”

Said that they really stepped up when league play started.

“It’s a big reason why we’ve been able to rattle off 4 of the last 5.”

On Kowacie Reeves’ shooting: Said that he was proud of the way he stepped up despite some of his struggles.

“He’s earned the right to take shots even when he’s not hitting them.”

Said he told Reeves that poor shooting won’t take him off the court.

“His confidence stayed in the right place.”

With Fudge likely out, Golden said that they will likely play Castleton and Jitoboh at the same time throughout the game tomorrow.

With Fudge out, they will also be reliant on Reeves, Richard and Kugel, who Golden says can guard any position 1-4. Adds that there may be a size difference, but they still trust those three to make plays.
