On what he’s learned about the SEC in his first six games: “Good players, great coaching and good venues.”

Said that they have to be ready for distractions such as environment, but be prepared for great personnel. Said that there’s no better conference to be in.

Adds that nothing really surprised him, but he learned that the margin for error is extremely small.

“Average won’t win you games here.”

Although he wasn’t the coach, Brian Kelly discussed Richardson’s performance against LSU last season.

Said it was a breakout performance for a young quarterback. Adds that his skills are extremely similar to Hendon Hooker, and they will need to do everything to contain him. Gave credit to the UF OL and RB for contributing to his play as well.

Kelly is done. Napier will join at 11:20.

On the big recruiting weekend: Said that in-season visits are difficult because the coaches are mostly focused on the current team’s performance rather than the next team. Said that it’s a balance.

On his time in Lafayette, specifically his final game at UL: Said it was an awesome experience due to the people there and the program they built together.
