Nick Saban tells Back on the Record w/Bob Costas, which airs on HBO tonight at 11 pm ET. "Bowl games are not something players want to play in. … Now players opt out of that if it's not part of the playoff. Therefore, I'm for expanding the playoffs"

Yeah, I’m inclined to agree with Saban. If you expand the playoffs, players will probably stop opting out of bowl games. So the big question here is do they continue to use the bowl games as part of the playoffs? or do they just “do away” with the bowl games altogether? Lots of stuff to be pondered regarding college football; however, they need to “git er done” and stop dragging their feet. Do you break away? or do you continue with the NCAA? They need to get their $hit together and do it in a hurry. As for one former player and a huge CFB fan, I’d like to see this come to fruition before the Lord removes me from this world. It’s just like waiting on a recruiting battle! Make a firm decision and let’s ride!!!
