Coming up, RBs coach Jabbar Juluke and a couple players will be meeting with the media. Follow along for live updates.

Would guess there’s a live stream today: https://www.youtube.com/@gatorsfb

Just got word that Montrell Johnson is one of the players speaking today. Not sure of any others.

Of course as I post that, I get confirmation of the other speaker: DL Justus Boone

Apologies, wifi was going in and out and the way it was set up, I couldn’t really do immediate updates.

Here’s some brief updates. Synopsis to come shortly:

Juluke discussed how he wants Montrell Johnson and Trevor Etienne to take on more of a leadership role this season. Johnson also mentioned that saying it’s harder for him since he’s a quieter guy, but he and Etienne have made it a point to be leaders, especially when it comes to teaching Treyaun Webb the offense.

Both praised Cam Carroll for how he’s performed so far this spring. Juluke said it was a tough sell to get him to UF with two talented backs in the room and a third coming in, but Carroll has embraced the competition and wanted to challenge himself.

On Graham Mertz, Johnson echoed statements made earlier in the week about how he’s one of the hardest workers on the team. Johnson said Mertz has asked about things that Richardson did that he should do as well (pass pro calls, reads, etc.).

All three (Juluke, Johnson, Boone) praised the newcomers on the OL. Although he’s not an starter on the unofficial depth chart listed by Sale, Kiyaunta Goodwin has garnered praise from Boone.

Boone also talked about Teradja Mitchell saying he’s been impressed with the way he’s made calls (Ventrell Miller-esque).
