Golden has Bonham, Jones, Reeves, Fudge and Castleton running plays with him on one side of the court — it appears as if that’s the current 5. Will Richard is also working in with them, however, as he returns from injury. I’d speculate Bonham is fighting to keep the spot he earned there with Richard out.

Whole team is running through plays now — or, rather, endless options that come out of the same play. This offense looks like it has the potential to be dynamic. It’s no boring scheme.

Fudge’s jumper looks smooth today; he was one of the first at practice, putting up shots from the top of the key for some time before they started. He just hit a 3 at the end of a play, looked at Golden and smiled — had a little laugh with him, both grinning.

Golden is having his guys, as he does every practice, do a lot of fast-break work — finding the open man and making the right plays. It looks like he’s going to really emphasize being efficient in and winning the fast-break battle this season against teams.

Castleton rebounds a missed three from Fudge. Puts it back up and misses the shot but gets fouled on the play. Visually upset with himself for missing the and-1 opportunity — displayed his anger with some words I probably shouldn’t type out here. He’s fired up and looking to be aggressive on offense and on the boards.

Alex Fudge’s length is going to result in a lot of steals this season. Quick instincts in passing lanes and has the motor and willingness to play hard on that end. It feels like we see a few out of him every scrimmage – many resulting in layups on the other end.

Bonham hits Jitoboh on the roll again with a wraparound pass — causing some more oohs and aahs from the gym. JJ gets fouled and will shoot 2.

Aleks Szymczyk, Myreon Jones and Jack May are here staying after practice to put up shots. Jones and May on one end going around the 3p line, Szymczyk on the other shooting from the corner.
